Over the years, one of the most invaluable tools I have used to further develop LEIGHTRONIX has been the insight of our staff. As video continues to evolve, it can be tough to stay up-to-date on the latest technology. To help you stay current, I would like to provide you with the same advantage I have; access to our team’s knowledge and ideas. Please consider this an invitation to our new bi-weekly blog.
The new LEIGHTRONIX blog will be a great avenue for us to share with you the latest technology in the industry, hopes and projections for the future, cool tools available to you, and updates on our company and our video communications solutions.
Twice a month, a LEIGHTRONIX employee or I will post a blog that either directly affects most of you or covers information we think you will find interesting and informative. To kick things off, Sara Mason, a valuable member of our inside sales team, will share her insight on multi-community contribution.
In conjunction with the blog we will be providing quick and easy updates via our Twitter account, @LEIGHTRONIX. Our Twitter account will not be a place where I post about the bowling trophy I won when I was 12 or what I had for breakfast; rather, we will tweet out links to new products, customer success stories, news in the industry, and re-tweet your conferences, events, and achievements should you choose to follow us.
We believe by entering the blogosphere and the world of social media that we will be better able to supply you with the information you need and engage with you in a more practical way. I hope you utilize this avenue to continue this dialog and I look forward to the relationship that stems from it.

David Leighton- President and CEO
David Leighton, a self-proclaimed geek, founded LEIGHTRONIX, INC. in 1981. In the last 32 years he has expanded the company to a national leader that has sold over 18,000 video server systems and powered over 7,500 digital channels. David’s love for technology was evident early in life, as he thought Radio Shack was the coolest store on earth, and when he was in high school he purchased one of the first Radio Shack TRS-80 computers, using every penny he had ever earned.
In addition to being the president and CEO of LEIGHTRONIX, David has been an involved citizen in Delhi Township, where his company is headquartered. David is on the board of the Delhi Township Downtown Development Authority, and has greatly supported Holt Public Schools over the years. David has taught after-school enrichment courses and donated equipment for various school events and programs. For the past several years, LEIGHTRONIX has also sponsored the Holt High School band’s annual Light Show, as well as two Hope Middle School Service Learning Day video events. David’s work with Holt has not only been an asset to his community, but has also given him an added perspective on the inner workings of the PEG access world, which he parlays into a better product and service for his customers.
