PRO-BUS Interfaces

Whether it is used for automated ingest of media into a server or on-air playback, device control still plays a critical role in automated television and private communication networks. For maximum flexibility within an automated system, the LEIGHTRONIX PRO-BUS provides control for a wide range of devices, including DVD players and VCRs. The PRO-BUS is supported by all current LEIGHTRONIX controllers.

The PRGPI interface provides four independent contact closures (low voltage relay, SPST) and occupies one of 16 addresses on the PRO-BUS. Each command (PLAY, REWIND, RECORD, and STOP) activates one of four contact closures.
